Jamie and I are huge fans of A Charlie Brown Christmas, and wanted to design a poster inspired by it. We came up with this design, and had a lot of fun making it. And being the ambitious typographic animator that I am, I decided at the last minute that I wanted to animate it. I hope you enjoyed it!
We wish you a very merry Christmas, and hope you all enjoy spending time with your family and friends as we celebrate the birth of Jesus.
*UPDATE*

I love this! What program did you use to animate the text? The printed copy is pretty perfect too :)
ReplyDelete@katie Thanks! I animated it in adobe after effects.
ReplyDelete@Jake Bartlett From one typography geek to another, I am a fan. Good work, sir!
ReplyDeleteLove this. My New Years resolution is to buy a copy of this poster before Christmas 2012.
ReplyDelete@Emily Ditto!
ReplyDeletePlease Etsy!
I need this print! Where can I buy it?
ReplyDeleteWe actually don't sell it, but so many people have been asking for it we decided to have it as a free printable everyone can uses. We are planning on posting that this Friday! So make sure to come back and download it.
DeleteI will come back looking for it too! One comment, however, the word "so" as it is in the poster (they were so afraid) is "sore" (they were sore afraid) in the Bible verse. Listen carefully to the recording of Charlie Brown Christmas.
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing! :)
ReplyDeletethis is great! Great job! I am going to use it on my Christmas card ;)
ReplyDeleteLove this! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteWould you allow it to be something I could get printed on a canvas at walmart?
ReplyDeleteYes of course you can. As long as it isn't something you are selling we are totally fine with that. Did you see that the actual poster to download is in this post? http://www.apairofpears.com/2012/11/black-friday-printable-charlie-brown.html
DeleteThanks! Nope not selling, just for me!
