Jake showed me this project on Kick Starter the other day. It's an energy efficient LED light bulb that you control with your iPhone or Android. It even changes colors. Pretty neat huh?

This morning I came across a new artist that I am completely smitten with. Becca Stadtlander's work is so fun and beautiful. She has a very charming historic style and I would happily hang any of her pieces on my walls. Here are a few of my favorites. Be sure to check out her website and shop to see more of her work. And if you love reading artist interviews as much as I do check out the interview with her on Etsy.

In the video I noticed bits of stuff Nina designed for their wedding like the coffee bag favors, napkins and even a piƱata. I got really excited and asked Nina if I could share it with you here on our blog. She sent me photos of all the other stuff she did for her special day. I love it when graphic designers get married. It's their chance to produce beautiful work representing themselves to share with the people they love. This is so good.

Yesterday Pixel started puppy class. I don't mean to be bias, but he was the cutest one there. He even volunteered a couple times (no joke). The class was really good so far. We even have homework to do before next week.
Our little Pix still has a lot to learn. You know that yellow chair we reupholstered a few weeks ago (the one he is sitting on)? Well I left the little guy alone for literally one minute and I come back and he not only left chew marks on one of the arms, but complete bit off the corner. I guess the project isn't done yet. I can't stay mad at him for long though. Right now he is sleeping like a little babe on his bed and I just want to go kiss him on his face.

I've been MIA for the past few days because my roommate from college came out to visit. I haven't seen her since Jake and I got married (over 2 years ago). Seeing her was long overdue. We managed to squeeze a lot of stuff into a short amount of time. Now back to work, but I think my long to-do list has just left me feeling lazy. You know when you have so much to do you don't know where to start so you just don't do anything? That's how I'm feeling today. Really it's just a bunch of little things so I should just suck it up and do it; or maybe I'll put it off a little longer and watch some HGTV first.
I saw this video today and since I'm not really feeling all that creative, I thought it was a good reminder on how to avoid getting burned out.

Pixel had his last vaccination yesterday, which means he gets to go to the park! He's 25.5 lbs now, and still growing every day,

I don't usually show people what I'm working on before it's done, it makes be feel vulnerable. I'm sure some of you know what I'm talking about.
Today, I'm sucking it up and showing you what I've been working on in my free time. After I've gotten all caught up on client work I've been trying to squeeze in a few designs for myself. Please ignore the the messy art boards.
Ohh, what's this you ask? It's a little project I've been wanting to do for a long time. You'll see.

We are planing on getting this design made into a stamp for our packaging. Jake came up with this idea. I really love it.
I've been trying to re-design out letterhead ever since we updated our blog design. It has been a long time coming, but I think I'm just about there.

lately weekends have been the only times we have to get things done. So this Labor Day weekend we had was much needed around our house. It gave us time to check a few things off our to do list and squeeze in a little relaxing time together.
Our list of letterpress projects is starting to stack up so we managed to get one printed and ready to go this weekend.
Stephanie, who I had the privilege of designing wedding invitations for, came to me after returning from her honeymoon and asked if she could get some stationery letterpressed with her new last name! I loved working with her before so I jumped at the opportunity.
They match what we did for her invitations (which I promise to show you as soon as I can take pictures) I really love how simple and clean these turned out. I'm almost tempted to print some up for myself.
